About the Family to Family Staff

Maxine Seiler, LCSW Maxine Seiler, LCSW

Welcome to Family to Family Adoptions, Inc. I am Maxine Seiler, the Executive Director and Founder of Family to Family. By founding Family to Family I wanted to broaden access to adoption to more families through a cost effective program based on good social work values of tolerance, understanding and inclusiveness. Second, Family to Family has created a birth mother program that truly helps those birth mothers that want to help themselves through educational opportunities or vocational training. At Family to Family our client is truly the unborn baby. We insure his best interest by helping young women make the right decision for themselves and their child as well as providing support, information, guidance and professionalism to our adoptive parents.

Welcome to Family to Family! As the Director of Development of Family to Family I have been here from the very beginning and love this job so much I'll never go anywhere else! There is no greater joy than placing a child with an adoptive family. Though I've never given birth to a child I've had the privilege of being a step-parent for 23 years. I too have experienced the joy of adoption with one beautiful granddaughter. Adoption is very near and dear to my heart and making sure your adoption journey is joyous and fulfilling is my personal goal. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

As a licensed social worker with Family to Family I have enjoyed working with adoptive families and birthmothers for the past four years. As a LBSW and Level 1 Placing Staff it is my responsibility to conduct pre and post placement counseling and home studies for adoptive parents. My greatest joy is uniting a nurturing family with a child to love and cherish. I look forward to you joining “our family” and working with you to complete your family through the adoption process.

Imagine looking forward to going to the office everyday. I am one of those fortunate people that love what they do. I am a mother and a grandmother so I have some insight into children and families. Everyday brings something different. The women here at Family to Family are exceptional individuals who guide with gentle, loving care. Each day here brings excitement, frustration, happiness, sadness, gentle moments, tense moments and new friendships with birth mothers and adoptive families. I am so humbled to be a part of this organization. And, after all is said and done, there is a very loving birth mother, a beautiful baby…..and a new family.

Working as a maternity caseworker for Family to Family Adoptions is a very rewarding and emotional job. I work with the birth mothers and try to develop relationships with them. I am available to teach, guide and support them. I am a good listener and am always available to assist them when needed. After all, we all need a friend.

Family to Family Adoptions is very special to me. There is so much love, acceptance and understanding here, from each heart. I have four children and four grandchildren. It is a lot of work but I have plenty of love to go around. I have had to be there for all of them, even now. Teaching them right from wrong has always been very important to me. Even when they make mistakes they know they can call on me and I’ll be there. The same applies to my work at Family to Family; I just want to be there for the birthmothers.
